Neteya Tavernier

Neteya Tavernier is a Designer and Junior Project Manager at the Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC). Originally from Brampton, Ontario, Neteya received a soccer scholarship to the University of Detroit Mercy, where she eventually earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture (20’), Minor in Leadership (20’) and Master of Architecture degree (21’). Neteya was awarded the Stephen Vogel Graduate Award of 2021-2022 for her thesis. She explored how underprivileged communities can be supported and transformed overtime, using a network of resource hubs. In 2019, Neteya worked at DCDC as an Emerging Designer during her undergrad. She is excited to be back at DCDC to continue working towards building better and stronger communities for the future.
