Mike Kuhn
Michael Kuhn is a Designer at the Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC). He joined the DCDC as an Emerging Designer in 2022, became a design consultant in 2024, and transitioned to a full-time staff member in 2025. During his time at DCDC, Michael has worked on a variety of projects, including designing elements for the DCDC office, leading community engagement events, and developing large-scale neighborhood plans. He is passionate about learning from the expertise of Detroit's communities, as well as from his peers and the students who work in the DCDC office as co-ops each semester. Michael earned his Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture and Community Development. His master’s thesis focused on the study of marketplaces and their potential to impact urban, architectural, and social landscapes.
